Altogether Workshop: Conflict Prevention and Resolution Methods during the COVID Crisis

The Altogether Workshop in Krakow focused on methods for conflict prevention and resolution during the COVID crisis. The event began with a registration of participants followed by a welcome from the Lead Expert. Presentations of research findings from seven national experts and representatives were shared, each country having 7 minutes to present. This was followed by a discussion led by the Lead Expert along with the National Experts and Representatives. After a coffee break, the first exercise on conflict resolution commenced, aimed at finding cooperative solutions for problems involving employees, employers, business associations, and trade unions. The exercise continued with a discussion and debate over the topical issues during a Q&A session.

On the second day, participants registered again and then listened to presentations on the needs for improvement per country from the seven national experts and representatives. The Lead Expert then presented the Consultation Centers Pilot Use Case and Users Guide. After a coffee break, the second exercise, which involved a simulation of the Consultation Centers process based on the manual, took place. This was followed by a discussion and debate over the topical issues in another Q&A session.

The third day began with participant registration, after which the Lead Expert presented the E-Learning Platform. National Experts and Representatives then engaged in a discussion and provided feedback. Following a coffee break, the third exercise involved a simulation of how to use the E-platform and increase involvement in decision-making to address the impact of COVID-19. The day concluded with a discussion on guidance and recommendations for workers and employers to find innovative win-win approaches for creating employee-employer councils to combat the impact of COVID-19 and prepare for recovery. The workshop was officially closed with final remarks and acknowledgments.
